ITC during operation Protective Edge

The ITC is connected to the community in times of Emergency and in times of calm. The Israel Trauma Coalition and partners spared no efforts in the 2 months of fighting to reach out to every effected community in Israel.

The ITC partner organizations immediately opened hotlines in several languages for everyone - families of IDF soldiers, residents of cities recently coming under missile range, elderly people overcome with anxiety and many more- over 20,000 calls were received! We provided counseling and training at all levels, from parents in Sderot to religious spiritual leaders guiding their communities in times of emergency.

The 5 resilience centers' teams and the partner organizations provided over 2,440 therapy sessions for trauma victims and over 800 training and debriefing sessions for the professional and volunteer emergency teams, We visited the evacuated communities from the south, the Bedouin communities which suffered direct missile hits. The lives of millions of Israelis were impacted – ITC is there to provide support But our work during emergency is only the beginning.

For millions of Israelis- war will not end with the ceasefire. We need you help now, join us and help us rebuild communities, strengthen resilience, and help many cope with loss, fear and grieving
